THAT’S ALL THAT’S LEFT TO DO

Posted in Stripper Secrets with tags , , , , , , , , , on August 8, 2022 by tiltdiary

Looking back at my life I’ve never really made it to something. I’ve not been successful nor have any of my creations been truly discovered. I’ve touched individuals, but the world hasn’t really taken notice of me. And possibly, I will take being truly unsuccessful to my grave. Those thoughts hurt. Crushed dreams and many questions about my talent and my abilities have tormented me for many, many years. It’s often painful to look back. God, I’ve been so close so many times but then it didn’t happen after all.

How do you live with that? How do you accept being unsuccessful and your hard work never paying off?

You just do accept, and you strive forward. You continue to touch individual lives … you continue to help … and you continue to save a life here or there. That’s all that’s left to do.

BUT DREAMS COULD STILL COME TRUE

Posted in Coversation with a Stripper with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on June 10, 2021 by tiltdiary

Is seems so impossible when I look at the new world we are going to have to learn to live with. And it seems so difficult, somedays impossible, to keep believing in your hopes and dreams. It seems as if it all ends right here. Groundhog Day every day. But as my dear, good friend would say, “We don’t have to know how and when. We just need to be able to trust in universal timing and hold on to faith!”

DEAR GOD, LET HARD WORK BEAT TALENT

Posted in Jones' wisdom with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , on April 3, 2021 by tiltdiary

I always believed hard work would beat talent. Perseverance would eventually lead to success. Passion and diligence would align you with what you’re suppose to do in life. I trusted that the universe, God would find a way to lead you to your mission if you had one or make you discover it if you wanted a mission. But I was wrong. While it’s good to have all these assets and character traits, while I still strongly believe you should never give up. While I still hold on to dear life and refuse to give up … I made a mistake. I forgot there’s something like luck. Being at the right moment at the right place. Meeting the right person at the exact right moment. Getting a break just because today is your lucky day.

My dearest friend would say, “We don’t have to know how it will happen, we just need to know that everything is aligning for our higher good, and the universe will figure it out for us.”

Dear God, I hope she’s riggt because it’s getting very late on my end of life. Time is running out … and I need some luck for all my talent, persistence, perseverance, hard work, determination, and creativity to do something significant …

THE BIRTH OF A STRIPPER’S HUFFPOST PERSONAL (EPISODE3)

Posted in Media with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on May 30, 2020 by tiltdiary

I had sent my pitch to HuffPost Personal on October 1st, 2019 at 9:47am and within minutes at 9:52am the Editorial Director responded requesting a draft of my full story to see if it would be a fit for HuffPost Personal. He sent along some general guidelines (word count/style/format) and some example articles that he had already accepted and published.
We went back to the drawing board, and I started writing. Most of the segments I have published came to me on dog walks with tiny typing on my phone making sure my feelings, personal experiences, emotions and everything I wanted to share with the world would be captured in this article. Within less than  three days on October 3rd, 2019 the full article was born and submitted at 8:48am. And once more, very quickly on October, 4th 2019 at 6:46am I received an email from the Editorial Director accepting my article and promising to publish it after a few edits. The new deadline was set for October 14th. I was suppose to nudge him to remind him about my piece.
So I did, but the Editorial Director kept postponing the date to publish. First, his assistant editor fell ill. Then one of his family members was ill. He kept asking me to nudge him over and over which I did, but it seemed all a little strange to be honest. No contract was ever sent to me. Just promises in emails. December came and after another nudge he promised to publish early in January. But edits never came … although, he did mention he would “…definitely need photos…” There was a lot of nudging from my end and a lot of promises on his, but then Covid-19 was declared a National Emergency on March 13th 2020. And of course, the Editorial Editor apologized, “I’m sorry that your piece slipped through the cracks. It was completely my fault and I owe you a huge apology. After this whole coronavirus nightmare is over, let’s talk again and see if there’s something else we can do instead. In the meantime — I’m sending you the best thoughts and hope you’re staying as safe and sane and healthy as possible. xx.”

That was a big bummer. I do belief that my article could’ve easily been edited to fit the covid-19 pandemic — after all, California Supreme Court throwing me out of stripping was in the end a blessing. Who knows, maybe if I would’ve not quit when I quit I might’ve contracted covid-19 and be dead by now.

So you’re probably wondering why I’m even wasting my breath on this mini series. Here is why: I know nobody gives a damn about the California law anymore and how it affects strippers. Nobody gave a damn back then, and nobody even gives a damn right now that almost all strippers (expect the ones that are stripping virtually) are out of work. And that is why my article is still timely. It’s about us women who are literally forgotten. Whether it’s a law or a deadly virus, nobody really gives a shit about us strippers and what we do with our money, how we made a difference, saved lives, and fed our families (fury or not).

And therefore I choose to at least publish my own article, because in my opinion, it’s damn good …

Stay tuned … to be continued …

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU DITCHED THE STILETTOS

Posted in Stripper Secrets with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on March 9, 2020 by tiltdiary

You’ve always wondered when and why you would quit stripping. You had hoped you’d walk away because you got too rich and too successful instead of being forced to stop dancing because you had become too frail, too old, too tired, too turned off. You’d never actually imagined that some outside forces would make you want to decide to hang the stilettos in the closed. And you wonder about your options. About how you will continue to do more good, save lives, and make a difference without the money you brought in through your little, secret nighttime engagement.

Today, I hold no answers for what comes next. I imagine many possibilities, and I have even considered to move away from the city that made me a proud dancer who wasn’t afraid of anything. But decisions have not been finalized yet, as I promise myself not to give up. As I owe it to myself to hold on to my dreams although it seems impossible to pick up where I left it. As my wise best friend says, “We don’t have to know how … we just keep praying and trusting.”

WHAT ARE THE BEST THINGS ABOUT THE PROFESSION OF A STRIPPER?

Posted in Stripper Secrets with tags , , , , , , , on May 23, 2018 by tiltdiary

The best thing about dancing is that I get to dance, express. With every stage I take or every private dance I do I get the chance to make my audience feel. I can touch people, bring them to life, make them feel something that they buried deep inside, wake hidden desires and spark curiosity about themselves. This applies to men and well as women (the club I work at has a mixed clientele, men, women, couples)

The other thing I really like about dancing is that I choose who I talk to, who I spend time with, or who I dance privately for. At the club that I work at there’s no pressure from management to ask for private dances if I don’t want to. It is entirely up to me who I share my conversation and energy with.
