KEEP DOING YOU

We all must try to remember who we are and what we came to do on this planet. We must reconnect to our passions and never let go of what we are meant to do. It doesn’t matter if you inspire millions or just one person as long as you keep doing you.

AND THEY BLAME STRIPPERS TO BE WHORES

I’ve talked about the sex predator on social media many times. But there’s another predator lurking. On a daily basis, I get contracted by companies that want my dogs and me to represent their products. Dogs’ clothing, toys, beds, travel accessories, tents, adventure gear, sexy lingerie … the list of products and brands is endless. These companies want my dogs and my precious modeling skills … they want me to take photos using and promoting their products. In return they offer me to buy their shit. WTF? Sometimes, they try to sell their scam by offering a minuscule discount. I see their sites are full of people who agreed to such a bad deal. In my world, as a SAG actress, I’m used to being paid for my skill and modeling while promoting a certain product. What is wrong with people who engage into such pitiful center of attention seeking? Only because people agree to such a scam these companies can thrive. It makes me want to vomit thinking how stupid the general public has become. These are the cheap whores of humanity. No self-worth, no self-respect.

WHAT I MISS THE MOST

The pandemic has been good to me. At least as good as a pandemic can be. I have had more time to tend to myself and do me. I have no reason to complain. This is just a note, something that has grabbed my attention. As I train daily by myself I miss having a training partner and a photographer. Training without having anybody to spot you is a rather frustrating experience. The progress is slow and you have to take extra precautions not to injure yourself.

The same applies to photography. I miss having a skilled eye behind the camera catching moments of creativity you can rarely get with a selfie or screenshot. I miss just being in the moment, moving freely without having to worry about any of the technical stuff like lighting and camera angles and so on.

I guess creative collaborations are still something you cannot find a replacement for.

WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU DITCHED THE STILETTOS

You’ve always wondered when and why you would quit stripping. You had hoped you’d walk away because you got too rich and too successful instead of being forced to stop dancing because you had become too frail, too old, too tired, too turned off. You’d never actually imagined that some outside forces would make you want to decide to hang the stilettos in the closed. And you wonder about your options. About how you will continue to do more good, save lives, and make a difference without the money you brought in through your little, secret nighttime engagement.

Today, I hold no answers for what comes next. I imagine many possibilities, and I have even considered to move away from the city that made me a proud dancer who wasn’t afraid of anything. But decisions have not been finalized yet, as I promise myself not to give up. As I owe it to myself to hold on to my dreams although it seems impossible to pick up where I left it. As my wise best friend says, “We don’t have to know how … we just keep praying and trusting.”
