WHO ISN’T CAPABLE OF FEELING COMPASSION?

It is interesting to me that people are often completely disconnected from their pets and what they might feel and think. There’s a general lack of understanding how evolved animals really are. How much they feel and think. How capable they are of feeling compassion and having memories. Many pet owners think their pets feel what they want them to feel to feel better about themselves and how they treat their animals which is often not that good at all. They put them though groomers, medical procedures and all sorts of torture without getting consent from their pets nor teaching how to be comfortable with these practices. And while their pets suffer and get prematurely old and sick due to chemical fragrances, blow dryers, over medication and highly processed, unnatural pet foods and treats their owners think they are good pet parents providing the animal with everything it can dream of and might need. Yet, that same animals would live a longer and healthier life if vet and groomer visits would be replaced with a fun game, walk in nature, and an honest connection from their owner. But many humans aren’t capable of just that.

REGRETS … A CHANCE FOR TRANSFORMATION

People only get the chance to reflect on their choices when they experience massive grief. The “I wish I would’ve …” moments are one of the most transforming chances they get. Sadly, many push grief away and miss out on the possibility to learn from their regrets.

Every intense emotion — when channeled appropriately — can be used for positive change.

YESTERDAY WAS ANOTHER GREAT DAY

Because I could help my neighbor’s dog to be better understood by her humans and give them tools to deal with her anxiety — which they interpreted as stubbornness and bullying.

Because I could take my dogs to the lake and spend much time with them exploring nature and playing games with me.

Because life is worth living when you truly love making in a difference.

I love helping animals to live incredible lives …
