YOU CANNOT WIN BACK TIME NOR HEARTS

If you have kids or pets you should always prioritize spending time with them. While I understand the need to support your family with financial security, I also know that the one thing you cannot get back is lost time with loved ones. There’s always more money to be made but missing out on seeing your kids grow or your pets thrive is something you will regret beyond your grave.

Most peoples’ kids are raised by strangers. They have Nannies or put their kids into daycare in order to continue working.

Most puppies sit most of their childhood alone in a crate or room waiting for their human to come home. Then their human is too tired to play with them and hopes the puppy will fall asleep and not be so energetic.

What’s the point, really? If you can’t spend time with your kids or pets don’t have them.

My rule of thumb is that I work in the time when my pets are napping and tired from all the games we played and adventures we experienced together. Otherwise, what’s the point, really?

You can’t get lost time back? You can’t reverse time spent half heartedly. You can’t take words back. Be the best version of yourself for your family.

You can always get another job or find different income. But you can’t win back time nor hearts.

As the year comes to an end

We realize the rules must bend

TOSS IT

The one thing I can say for sure is that the pandemic has not made anybody kinder or nicer. People have turned. People are either numb or violently angry. Things have escalated as we have been conditioned into seeing each other as each others enemy. We fear people and hate on them. We block and ditch friends if they aren’t agreeing with our political or medical views. We have become a complete throw away society. We don’t just throw out perfectly working appliances to replace them with the newest trend … we don’t just ditch clothes and shoes because we want a new style … we don’t just dump beloved pets at the shelter anymore because it’s become too complicated or boring to take care of them … we also block, ghost, or dump old friends and family members if they do something we disagree with.

WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT

If I can grasp this right then life might be all about what you can do for others. How you can improve the life of others. Whether you dedicate yourself to your family, or to help animals, kids, the elderly … it doesn’t really matter as long as you make a positive impact on others.

Sure, we all seem to have big hopes and dreams for ourselves. We dream about having careers and reaching certain goals. We want yo accomplish certain criteria and live a certain standard. But in the end, none of this matters, and it all comes down again to who you touched positively, who you helped, who you cherished, loved unconditionally, and who you cherished to the bitter end.

Is that what life is all about?

FALSE CONFIDENCE

Most people don’t know how to relate to their spouse, partner, kids, nor pets. We expect parents to know how to raise children and teach or “train” pets. Therefore, everybody thinks they are an expert in doing that meanwhile it’s false confidence induced by society. Their parents didn’t know, and therefore, we don’t know. The problems start with the false impression of knowing what we are doing. When we should really never strop researching how to do things better.

KARMIC FAMILY PATTERNS

Every family has their story. No matter how things look from the outside, no matter how old and established the relationships are … we all get our shares of dysfunction and repeating patterns. Most people are good at covering it up and making it all look so perfectly charming. But when you look behind the veil of disguise the monstrous demons in each and everyone reveal. It is a sad reality … I guess we choose our relationships to work out karmic patterns, however, in the western world most aren’t aware of this, and without awareness there’s no change possible.

WHAT’S MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE PUPPY?

Since December 22nd 2021 I’ve cut many training sessions short or I even skipped them due to my puppy Stanley experiencing separation anxiety as well as his desire to be outside when the temperatures allow it. Yes, I’ve taken him in the she shed too with me to train but he’s bored and prefers to be outside in the yard or wants me to play with him instead. His separation anxiety has finally turned into a demanding, “Have fun with me instead,“ which makes me very happy, although I know many dog trainers would judge my Stanley as a spoiled, rotten, little puppy monster. But I don’t care. Because Stanley is worth it, and I know from raising many dogs and living with a sixteen and fifteen year old coonhound that nothing is more important than being there with my puppy and letting him experience life, explore and watch till he decides he had enough adventure.

Very soon, too soon, my adventurous puppy will be a good old coonhound who won’t care if he chills in my she shed while I train. Too soon, he will sleep most of the day and then I can train and do whatever I want to do. But today, I’m happy I can enjoy every second of my puppy as if it would be the last. Because this will all change too quickly and my puppy will be a grown, mature, confident coonhound. Too quickly and too soon.
