EXTREME MEASURES

The more the pendulum swings to one side the more it’ll swing to the other side. There’s always the extreme that will be balanced by the counterpart of the extreme. Our world has been pushed to the extremes. The push and pull is massive. Can we ever achieve balance? I doubt it, but if there’s a chance than it would take extreme measures.

We do it to ourselves. We judge upon each other. We see who’s not really in the mirror. We contort to appeal, mask to fit in, pretend to be someone who we aren’t. Because we are desperate to find true love. Because we believe in the fairytales they read to us. We want the frog to turn into the prince. But there’s no prince. There’s no fairytale. There’s just simple life. No glamour, no porcelain shoe, no pumpkin coach, no floating ballroom dress, not even a talking mouse … maybe just a hungry chipmunk or dog … because life is not a fairytale.

WHEN ALL HOPE HAS VANISHED

When we don’t want to go on anymore but we have to keep living there’s always someone who makes life bearable again. You just have to trust the process of grief and loss. Even in the most darkest times of hopelessness one single amber can warm you and fuel the possibility of an entire fire inside your frozen heart. You can find this in a smile, the eyes of an animal, the sound of the ocean, and when the wind brushes through the trees, or the coyotes start howling. You must just be open to discover that life goes on and can take a turn for the better. Believe. Because believe is much more solid than frail hope.

SOME DAYS NEVER HAPPENED

Some days, it feels like the day just brushed by as if it never even happened. It goes all so quick and another day is missed, another time gone, another chance missed. Like a hurricane it passes and leaves you with confusion and exhaustion about what’s really going on. This is pandemic life. This is missing life, yet our biggest tasks on days like this is to still find our purpose.
