While the world continues to spiral out of control, and the truth is twisted and tilted in all sorts of directions, and while we must question everything we are being fed, I must say that it’s somehow working out for me.
I’ve learned to go the path of least resistance following my deep intuition. Back in 2019 when California law turned us strippers into employees and dancing became an entire scam having to provide our own minimum wage, I knew it was time to get out. Today, I know it was my protection from contracting Covid-19 if I’d had stayed and danced through humiliation. Then covid hit, and it seemed impossible to make a living. Not was just dancing taken from me but my job in corporate fitness disappeared overnight as well as many other gigs I had kept over the past two decades. I was in a situation where many would’ve lost their mind or even worse. But I kept holding on to faith, and I knew I would somehow find a way to provide for my family. I had help from good Samaritans but I always put self-respect first. Somehow, magically I was given the opportunity to spent the summer of 2020 and 2021 in the national forest with my pack of dogs. This was very new to me and much like switching clubs and leaving your old home behind. You need to adapt quickly and learn how to navigate an entire new world. But this was and is another step to breaking free and learning how resilient as well as how flexible in the mind I can be. It lead me to further independence and self-sufficiency. Much like in the strip club. You learn you cannot rely on anybody but yourself. And through this experience and my courage to take another leap of faith I was granted to spend the most peaceful summer I’ve ever experienced. While the rollercoaster world is continuing to transform into a hell of a ride I have had the gift of the universe to go even more inward and feel even more grounded. And everything else I will trust to surrender to the universe. God truly has my back, miraculously and generously.

This is my time to be alone with myself, listen inward, and dedicate my attention to my beauty and well being. It’s one way of recharging in order to continue to nurture others without being rundown.”
