STRIPPING AS A FUN PROFESSION

If I think about it a little deeper, I have to say stripping should be a lot of fun. As entertainers in this little microcosms we should be adored, appreciated, and there should be enough fame for each and every girl that takes the step onto the shiny stage floor, no matter how good of a dancer she is. I can honestly say, that each dancer gives her best, each dancer who dares to make it through an entire shift has more guts than any housewife, lawyer, doctor, teacher, or any woman I know. There’s is boldness and courage no matter how shy or insecure the dancer is. And that alone should get us respect, admiration, and tips from every customer (male or female) who dares to set a foot into the club even if he/she just blinks at the dancer on stage or the set of boobs or butt that brushes past him/her. We are the ones who turn a regular, boring bar into a place of seduction, awakening, fun, and entertainment. But sadly, it is getting more and more difficult to enjoy this line of work, because the customers bring their own baggage into the club, and instead of making the club a secret getaway from the daily grind and frustrations we become the punching bag and the outlet for all their aggression, frustration, dissatisfaction, urge of power, and with that the target of abuse. Lately, it feels we have to beg, demand, and argue with customers about paying us for the time we dedicate to them and fun we provide them with. We are called “gold diggers,” “money hungry birches,” even “scam artists.” Some are appalled when we ask them if they want a private dance. Others shund us when we refuse to let them stick a single dollar into our bra or panties. It feels more and more as if we owe them to make them feel better, put up with the shit their spouse refuses to put up with, and to even offer them to slap our left ass cheek after they violated our right cheek. All this abuse, the power games, the mistaken girlfriend entitlements lead me to saying that stripping for the most hasn’t been that much fun lately. But it should be … and both parties are missing out on much fun just because the entitlement of men and women makes us look like we are working in a shady profession and are trying to trick people into spending money. Why are they expecting strippers to perform and entertain for free when many other entertainers get paid millions of dollars to pretend a character in some boring remake of a movie that’s been done already twice? We strippers are all originals, each and every one of us.

HONEST POST OF A STRIPPER

Posted in Jones' wisdom with tags , , , , on December 16, 2015 by tiltdiary

Yes, I have become tough, I am a tough girl. If you want to survive the strip club you have to grow thick skin. Strippers are tough. Yes, I am used to being judged, called a slut, called a nasty girl, even called a stupid whore. Yes, I am used to be ignored purposefully, not liked just because of my profession. I am even used to being hated. I know, I am the enemy, a punching bag for society. Because we like pointing fingers. Yes, I understand judgement is born out of fear … people judge what they don’t know because the unknown scares them and gives them permission to put it down. I understand all of it, maybe I understand it too much. Why you hate me, and why you judge me. But it still hurts. I am a human. I am not invincible. Judgement hurts.
