Are you one of those people who has found a good life partner and is in a loving, passionate, intimate relationship, yet, you are depressed and unhappy? I remember, over 16 years ago. I had been just married to my lovely Mr. Husband. I was deeply in love and could’ve not been happier. We were poor and couldn’t buy a lot of things. We lived in a studio apartment sharing just one room together and driving an old, beat up car. I was ecstatic about my new life in the USA, my handsome husband, my passion and love for him, but he couldn’t find happiness. He was depressed, sour, and tired every single day. Nothing was right, because the car was old and the apartment was small. Soon, we bought a house, another car was accumulated, the house finally remodeled, and I thought, now was the time to find happiness together. But it still wasn’t enough for him. Back then I couldn’t understand how someone could be unhappy but still happily in love. I loved my husband, supported every single dream of his. My dreams didn’t matter that much because I had him. I was happy, but with his continuous unhappiness and never being satisfied, after 10 years of fighting for us I finally started surrendering to the fact that love wasn’t enough for him. I fell out of love to save at least my happiness. Greed, megalomania, and not being able to see that the only thing that matters was love and passion had defeated another relationship that had everything to make us happy for the rest of our lives.
I am just telling you this story so you can stop for a moment and smell the roses. If you are one of those rare people who hold the magic potion of love, sex, and passion in the palm of your hand don’t squish it out of ignorance and neglect. Because the magic potion will just run through your fingers, sink through the dirt, and be gone forever. And that would be the only reason to be depressed and devastated.
