Sometimes, as a performer, I am in complete disbelieve or better said in shock about customers not tipping. I don’t mean this in regards to myself performing on stage but in regards to some of my co-strippers who have exceptional acrobatic, dance, and contourtion skills. You can see the customers, men as well as women, completely drawn into their performance. Their jaws drops, and they are clapping and in awe about this particular dancer and still not a dollar on stage. I don’t get it. Even if we dancers would get paid a decent hourly wage wouldn’t you want to show your appreciation, respect, and gratitude to the performer by tipping generously? It’s sometimes really embarrassing when exceptional talent is thrown like pearls in front of pigs, but of course, animals always show appreciation and gratitude, so this expression doesn’t really do the situation justice.
